Update: I was able to get things working in the Audio MIDI setup of the MacBook by creating an Aggregate Device that uses both inputs and outputs of the mixer. I am so sorry to hear that you are having issues using Alesis Multimix mix 4 which is connected via camera adapter to be used on Skype. When I monitor the input from the Mac system preferences I can see audio coming in, but Reason is not recognizing that input I guess? I can get the computer's voice memo app to record the input from the mixer, and I'll be checking other apps, but I think this tells me that the input works, but Reason is not recognizing it for some reason. I'm pretty sure I should be seeing 4 inputs. Even when I start a project within Sonar I can set the channel inputs to correspond with each channel of the MultiMix.

I recently got hold of a Alesis Multimix 8 USB 2.0 and the drivers also installed perfectly.

Reason shows the Alesis mixer as an output device, but shows no active input channels. I installed my Sonar 4 on Windows XP pro 32-bit located on my new laptop without any issues whatsoever. It is a class-compliant USB audio device and there's really no drivers to speak of.
I'm setting up a MacBook Pro running Catalina to be a dedicated production computer and am trying to use an old Alesis MultiMix 4 USB as a simple input/output interface to monitor and record stereo tracks with.
